The PhD School Secretariat handles the following tasks:
Review and case procedures, services, etc.:
- Administration of the PhD programme in accordance with the "Ministerial Order on the PhD Course of Study and on the PhD Degree".
- Application/enrolment, course of study (including course programmes), completion
- Primary case procedures concerning the employment of PhD students
- Case procedures in connection with the assessment of PhD theses
- Course activities
- Research school activities
- Secretarial functions for:
- The PhD committee and academic subcommittees
- The committee concerning the undergraduate research training programme
- Assessment of theses
- Counselling and supervision:
- About the PhD programme, the undergraduate research training programme and submission/assessment of theses
- Information and communication:
- Student counselling
- Editing and co-ordination of course catalogues
- Editing and co-ordination of abstract books on "Science Day"
- Contributions for the Academic Council and the annual report
- Editing of PhD school information on the faculty homepage
- Establishment of Networks:
- Contact to other PhD and course secretariats
- Networks in connection with research schools
- Networks in connection with the common PhD administration database
- Administration of the 1-year undergraduate research training programme (non ministerial)
- Case procedures in connection with assessment of doctoral dissertations
