Media Science is a humanities degree with its main focus on audiovisual media (TV and film) together with all the communication now undertaken through the computer. Technological developments are leading to the interaction and integration of telephones, computers, television and printed media in a process we call convergence. The degree programme in Media Science is structured to enable your active engagement in this participatory media culture. You will learn about the theories which seek to understand what is going on in the world of media and communication, but you will also learn how to plan, produce and analyse material in this dynamic environment, where media content is changing at an accelerating speed. At Media Science in Odense you also learn how to undertake surveys and assessments of media-output and communication strategies.
Most of the teaching is in Danish, and the same applies to exams and assignments.
