ARRIVAL ODENSE SPRING SEMESTER 2013
On arrival you will get a welcome package. This package contains your student card and practical information about SDU and your stay. It will also contain the keys for your room at the student hall, if you get accommodation through the university.
ESN and buddies
Buddies are students from the University of Southern Denmark who work as contact persons for international students in coordination with Erasmus Student Network (ESN). ESN arranges various sightseeing and social events during the semester. For more information visit their homepage www.esnodense.dk .Furthermore a buddy can help you take care of practical matters; introduce you to (student) life in your new home town, introduce you to life at Campus etc. If you are coupled up with a buddy, you will become part of a Buddy-team consisting of 6-8 newcomers and 3-4 current students

You receive information on your buddy in July or early August/December or early January. At this point you will also have the chance to let us know, if you are not interested in having a buddy.
Unfortunately not all new international students are coupled up with a buddy because of a shortage of buddies, but if you want one we will do our very best to find a buddy for you as well.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ARRIVAL IN ODENSE
In Odense international students are met by the Welcoming Committee at the train station 5-7 days before the orientation day. They can help you with the following:
- key to your accommodation (if you asked the university to find you accommodation)
- how to get to your housing in Odense
- they give you your welcome envelope containing important practical information
- questions you may have
Arrival Days
To be met on arrival, you must make sure to arrive between 3:00-8:00 p.m. on the official arrival days. The exact days are listed above.
If you arrive earlier or later than the arrival days, you can pick up your welcome envelope at the Accommodation Office at the University of Southern Denmark.
