In Kolding there are no student halls. Instead, for our exchange, mobility and guest students we will find one room student studios with own kitchenette, toilet and bathroom, flats to be shared by two to three students, or separate room with own bathroom where the kitchen will be shared with 4 other students. The student accommodation is situated all over town within a maximum of 30 minutes by foot and 15 minutes by bus or bike to the university. Please note that:
- You will get only one accommodation offer and please notice that it is not possible to make requests for accommodation at specific locations
- The rent per month is approximately between DKK 1,800 and 4,200. Before arrival you will have to pay a deposit equivalent to 2-3 months’ rent for some accommodation types
- For some of the accommodation offers, the size of the rent mentioned is exclusive of utilities, i.e. heating, which usually is to be paid on account to the landlord and may amount to approximately DKK 400-500, and electricity and antenna, which must usually be paid separately to the suppliers and may amount to approximately DKK 400. However, these expenses may be included in some of the offers.
- The room will be furnished with a sofa bed, a desk, a wardrobe, a bookshelf, a couple of chairs and a lamp, as well as kitchenware like plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, provided a deposit of DKK 500.00 is paid upon arrival (for some of the accommodation offers)
- Furthermore, for our full degree student we can offer a linen package consisting of bedlinen, duvet, pillow, towels, tea towels, facecloths, etc. free of charge (for some accommodation offers this service is included in the rent)
A room will not be reserved for you until the accommodation form has been returned to the International Office.
Please note that you have a 14 days' right of withdrawal from the date on which you have received an offer for accommodation from us. More information available on the accommodation form.
Deadlines: May 1st for the autumn semester and November 1st for the spring semester.
