Classes:	February 1st - May
Exams:	SAS and the Faculty of Humanities - May and June
	The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences - May and June

Autumn 2012
Classes:         September 1st - beginning of December
Exams:          SAS - November and December  
                     Faculty of Humanities - December January

                     Faculty of Business and Social Sciences - December and January

                     Exams can be scheduled as late as January 31st 

Autumn vacation:  Week 42 (Oct. 17th through 21st)

Exams can be scheduled as late as June 30th                                                

Easter holiday:      April 4 through April 9
Other holidays:      May 4 and May 17, Whitsun May 28 

Academic calendar in general

Autumn semester

Introduction day(s)/orientation day: at the end of August - few days before the semester starts

Classes start September 1. At the Faculty of Science classes start week 35 - some days before September 1.

Classes end: Courses that run on a semester schedule have the last teaching in late November, early December

Exams: Courses that run on a semester schedule take have exams in December and/or January. Exams can be scheduled as late as January 31st.

Spring semester

Introduction day(s)/orientation day: at the end of January - few days before the semester starts

Classes start February 1. At the Faculty of Science classes start week 5 - some days before February 1.

Classes end: Courses that run on a semester schedule have the last teaching in May

Exams take place in May and June. Exams can be scheduled as late as June 30th.

Quarter system
Note that that the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Health Sciences work on a quarter system. The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences at our campus in Esbjerg works on a quarter system as well. For more information check the information to the right.

It differs from faculty to faculty and campus to campus as to how the academic calendar is set up.

Vacations
Autumn vacation: In October in week 42
Easter break is Wednesday before Easter Sunday until Monday after Easter (both days included).
