Academic staff members employed in accordance with the agreement of The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) are covered by a mandatory pension scheme. The university pays a total pension contribution equal to currently 17,1 % of your pensionable salary. The pension contribution for Ph.D. Fellows is currently 17,1 % of 85 % of the base salary. This will automatically be transferred to your pension fund by the end of each month. Your pension fund will depend on your educational background and details and name of the relevant pension fund will appear on your payslip.
The following pension funds are relevant for scientific staff of the University of Southern Denmark:
- AP-Pension – dairy engineers and business economists
- Arkitekternes Pensionskasse – Architects
- Danica - dentists
- DIP/ISP – for engineers
- JØP – for lawyers and economists
- Lægernes Pensionskasse – for doctors
- MP Pension – for MAs and MScs
- Pharmadanmarks Pensionsordning – for pharmaceutical personnel
- PJD – for agricultural academics and veterinary surgeons
As of December 1, 2012 it is possible - under centain conditions- to have the pension contribution paid out with the salary each month.
