All PhD students at the Faculty of Engineering are enrolled in the PhD school and educated under one of the faculty's six research training programmes:
The research training programmes (RTP) were established in 2008 and are interdisciplinarily anchored in each its own research training programme committee. The committees academically assist the respective research training programmes in terms of construction, operation and development of the academic studies within its academic field. The committee's role is also to advise the PhD School in academic matters and to furnish and set professional issues for consideration by the faculty PhD committee.
