The Faculty provides financial support to PhD students for travels to conferences and/or study tours abroad and support for costs associated with a change of study environment. A PhD student at the Faculty of Science can apply for support from the study travel fund. Externally funded PhD students can seek support from the study travel fund, unless otherwise stated in their contract of employment or enrolment letter.
Trips which receive support from the study travel fund must be purchased through SDU's travel agent VIA TRAVEL in accordance with SDU's travel guidelines. Read more at http://www.sdunet.dk/Vaerktoejer/Vejledninger/Koerselrejser/RejserSDU.aspx
Employed PhD students, as they are sent out by the university, will be covered by the university's employment travel insurance, but accompanying family members are not covered.
PhD students who are only enrolled and not employed are not covered by the university's employment travel insurance and are strongly advised to arrange their own travel insurance.
Industrial PhD students should contact their place of employment to inquire about coverage on employment trips.
