The philosophy behind  the Master of Public Management is that leaders must be able to rise above their own narrow management situation, and be able to see themselves as a part of something that is bigger than themselves both locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

By creating time and space for reflection, it becomes possible to see yourself in a larger perspective and to help establish agendas that reach beyond the daily management situation. This pertains to competition, cooperation, consolidation, development and expansion.
