Programme outline
Every semester starts with a one-week study programme at one of the universities involved in the project. In this week you will meet your study partners from the other countries and your teachers. After the introduction, you will create agreements with each other on the drafting of assignments to be completed during the next 12 weeks. After three months there is a new meeting planned in one of the participating universities. During the two-year programme you will visit at least four of the universities and university colleges involved in the programme.
The European Master in Social Work has three main components:
1. Political and ethical developments in social policy and social work in Europe
2. Methods in social work
3. Applied research in social work, running through the entire programme (longitudinal approach).
The curriculum consists of four semesters: the core semester, two semesters of electives and the thesis semester. You will have to follow the core semester, four electives within the two semesters, write a thesis, and study at two universities minimum.
Please note: this programme is pending accreditation in February 2012.
