The diploma programme in business communication is aimed at those who to obtain theoretically based, practice-oriented academic qualifications.
This diploma programme in business communication is aimed at those who have practical job experience and wish to obtain theoretically based, practice-oriented academic qualifications while remaining in full-time occupation.
Thus the diploma programme in business communication provides an opportunity to study one foreign language – English, German, or Spanish – for those who work with language and communication in business settings and wish to strengthen their communicative competences.
The standard period of study for the full part-time diploma programme is 4 years. It consists of two parts, each of which comprises 2 years of study.
Part I offers general competences in the business communication domain. It comprises the following subjects:
- business communication 1 and 2
- social and cultural studies 1 and 2
- grammar and text production 1 and 2
Part II gives you the opportunity of specializing by choosing either the Translation (ED-O) or IT-based text production specialization (ED-IT).

All the subjects of the diploma programme in business communication may be studied separately. If you pass all the subjects of Part I and II within a period of 6 years, you will receive a diploma from the University of Southern Denmark.
