Instructions for remote access to electronic material
Students and staff at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and the staff at Odense University Hospital (OUH) have remote access to the library’s licensed electronic material. You can gain access via a username and password wherever you happen to be.
Please note: Remote access to electronic material at the University Library of Southern Denmark is only for personal research and study use. This means that you are not allowed to use remote access in connection with a study job, work placement, etc.
Your password is strictly personal and must never be given to anyone else.
Misuse will result in disciplinary sanctions.
Other users have to be either at SDU or OUH in order to gain access to the material.
If you try to gain access to licensed material from a computer ouside SDU’s or OUH’s net you will be asked for a username and a password:

Students at SDU: Your username is that part of your official university mail address, which is before @. Your password is your birthday – day, month, year (the first six digits in your CPR number, Danish national identity number).If you do not know your official mail address, you can find it with the help of your student card inSDU’s account system.
- Staff: Your username is your library card number from the University Library of Southern Denmark and your password is your password to the library’s catalogue. If your password contains letters, then these must be written as capital or upper-case letters. If you do not have a library card or if it is several years since you last used it, then please contact one of the library’s lending desks.
