If you are looking for reviews then it usual to start by finding a review index from the year the book was first published in - so the publication date is important! Some indexes though are cumulated and cover a number of years. You search by the author's surname in most review indexes. In some of them you can also search by title. If you don't find any reviews under the publication year, then try the following two og three years as review indexes are often behind with the registration.
When you have found a reference to a review, follow these tips:
1. Where is the review printed? If the title is abbreviated, then check in the review index to find the full title.
2. Find out if the library has the journal by searching in the library catalogue. It is often easiest to browse by journal title and then select the relevant journal title.
3. If the journal is located in "Hum-samf tidsskrifter" you can check that the item is not lent out (not on loan) and then either borrow it or make a copy of the relevant review.
4. If it published in a national newspaper, you can try searching in Infomedia (Danish) or LexisNexis.
This generally applies to reviews within the last ten years. Reviews of literature further back than ten years can mainly be found in SDUB's Microfilm collection.
5. If the item you want is located in "magasin", then you will have to make a request for it.
6. If you have any problems, then please contact a member of staff. If SDUB doesn't have the journal requested, then we will get hold of it for you from another library.
