Printed books
In the book collection we have the most recent literature on the subject, and in the library database ODIN you will find more than 3000 titles.
The books are placed in the following main groups:
- Ucea (inorganic chemistry),
- Uceb (organic chemistry),
- Ucec (theoretical chemistry),
- Ucef (analytical chemistry).
- Ud includes geology.
- Pm is technical chemistry.
Books on pharmaceutical science and pharmaceutical chemistry are often placed with books on medicine (V- signatures).
Books on environmental chemistryi are often placed with books on environmental biologyi (Uh- signatures).
In the library in Odense, the books are placed on open shelves in the southernmost part of the library or in our closed stacks. Technical chemstry is also found in the Technical Library on Niels Bohrs Alle, Odense.
About 200 new titles are acquired each year. Suggestions for new books are welcome.

Books which are not in the collection can be ordered on this electronic request form. The library will try to get the materials via inter-library loan.
E-books
The libary subscribes to several e-book collections. These e-books can be found in the library's catalogue.
E-books are always available via the platforms which the various publishers have developed for reading their materials, and there may be limitations on the number of prints permitted from individual works. Remote Access is available to students and employees at SDU.
Most e-books are in English, both the monographs and reference titles. Many of them will be found via the Springer portal.
As almost all titles are English, it is necessary to search the Catalogue for the relevant English terms. The best way of doing this is using the advanced search and limit to type= "elektronisk materiale" in order to focus on e-books (and e-periodicals).
