RSS feeds
Use an RSS reader and keep yourself up-to-date with new articles within your field. Most journal publishers offer the option of RSS feeds. An RSS reader scans publishers regularly for new articles and other news so you can keep up with updates without having to visit journal websites. It enables you to keep up with a great number of websites at the same time. You will normally receive a headline or an abstract in your RSS reader with a link to the whole of the article. You can either have an RSS reader on your own computer or you can use one of the RSS readers available on the Internet.
E-alerts
Install e-alerts and receive a message when a new issue of a journal is published within your field in your inbox. Most publishers give the option of e-alerts with an optional user name and password so you can select the journals you are interested in receiving the table of contents from.
