Thomas Schøtt studied at University of Aarhus (cand.scient.), Columbia University (M.A. in statistics and Ph.D. in sociology) and Yale University (postdoc in organizational research), was Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at University of Pittsburgh, and is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Relationship Management at the University of Southern Denmark, where he also serves as Research-leader of the organizations and entrepreneurship research-group. He teaches entrepreneurship, organizations, methodology and networks among people and organizations; he consults on entrepreneurship, intervention, organizations and clusters; he researches knowledge, networks, organizations and entrepreneip; and he has published several books and numerous articles in international journals and local media. He is a member of the Research Committee of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Association that directs Global Entrepreneurship Monitor. As the National Team Leader of the Danish team in GEM, he also directs the Danish research program affiliated with GEM.
