A number of incoming international students wish to attend courses for a set period, typically one or two semesters, rather than enrolling in a full degree programme.
Both study paths have their advantages, but the benefit of both is that for you as s science student, attending courses at a foreign university expands your network and broadens your knowledge base.
At the University of Southern Denmark, incoming students at the Faculty of Science particularly enjoy the accessibility of academics, laboratories and libraries.
Furthermore, flat hierarchical structures ease exposure to top research, information transfer and stimulating social contacts.
As a student holding a EU- or EEA-citizenship, you benefit from the various EU-sponsored mobility programmes, such as ERASMUS. This programme and a number of international partnership agreements with other universities mean that incoming students in most cases do not have to pay any tuition fees for their studies in Denmark.

In order to ease your academic stay at the Faculty of Science, the different departments have designed Course Packages with a duration of one (30 ECTS) or two semesters (60 ECTS). Since the academic year at the Faculty of Science is divided into quarters, this means that one quarter equals 15 ECTS. For more information on current course packages with guarantee of course scheduling without overlaps, use the menu of the left.
If you are more interested in choosing amongst all our Regular Courses on offer, this option is available, too. Information on all courses taught in English may be found by using the menu of the left. In the overview of courses, those taught in English are indicated by the United Kingdom Flag. When selecting your courses individually, please be aware that this option is offered without guarantee of course scheduling without overlaps. Thus, make sure that your chosen courses are offered in the same semester by referencing to a corresponding spring or autumn term. Also, your individually combined study path is subject to certain regulations concerning approval and registration. Some Science departments have put together examples of possible study paths, giving you an idea of how your individually combined Science studies at the University of Southern Denmark could look.
