CeKOL Kick-off meeting, april 9th 2010, University of Southern Denmark research center in chronic obstructive lung disease University of Southern Denmark.
I have the pleasure of welcoming you to the kick-off meeting for the newly established CeKOL centre for chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD) research. Our aim is to find and validate biomarkers for the development of chronic obstructive lung disease – also known as smoker’s lung.
The centre is initiated in 2010 by funding from the Danish Strategic Research Council. Through animal models of disease and large cohorts of patients with mild, moderate or advanced disease we will aim to develop easily applicable and also cost-effective ways to identify high risk patients for intensified therapy.
Topics of the meeting will include short presentations from the leaders of the workpackages in the project, but also presentations from the highly esteemed international COPD researcher Thys van der Molen, and the Danish Lung Association.
Please, register your participation to associate professor Grith Sørensen: email@example.com
