Are you on your master programme? Do you want to prepare yourself in the best way for the Danish labor market and your upcoming career? Then you may be interested in participating in in the Career and Network course. The aim of the course is to prepare Danish and international students to find jobs after graduating and to ease the transition period from studies to work life.
Through a combination of lectures, discussions and exercises we offer a 3-day-course that focuses on networking, job search and individual assessment of competences. The course is concluded with visits to a number of companies in the region, which is an excellent possibility to try out your networking skills.
To join the Career and Network you have to be
• On your master programme.
• Motivated to be part of the network and find a job in Denmark.
• Ready to invest 3 days to boost your career opportunities.
The Career and Network course is in English but open for both international and Danish students.

Job seeking strategies – clarification of competences – how to write job applications and CVs in Denmark.
Through a combination of lectures, discussions and exercises we will take you on a guided tour through the Danish job seeking process. Which competences do you possess that qualifies you for applying for a job in Denmark? How do you approach a company? How do you write an application and a CV according to Danish standards?
The CEO of the Danish company ordbogen.com/lemma.com will join this event and explain how they hire internationals for their company.

Networking as part of your career
If you network with the right people and in the right way, you can achieve the knowledge,
you need – the contacts and information, you wish – and the projects and jobs you really
want to work with.
At this mini course on December 5th, Charlotte Junge, the author of several books on networking, will show you how Career and Networking are closely combined and give you input and tools to make your own Networking strategy for your future career. You will be presented to Charlotte’s networking mindset and networking method. You will also get practical input and advice on how to handle different networking channels. Furthermore you will get practical tips and tricks for your future networking.

Utilize your networking competences when visiting companies in Odense.
Today we will visit three companies in the area of Odense by bus. Remember to be on time in order to catch the bus. The agenda for today is as follows:
8.45: Departure from campus in Odense. We meet at the main entrance.
9.30 – 11.00: Tour and presentation at
FJ Industries in Ferritslev
11.00: We drive back to the University
11.30 – 12.00: Free lunch at the University in
Kantine IV
12.00 – 14.00: Visit to the research environment at the University for those of you who consider pursuing an academic career. There will be inputs from researchers experiences settling in Denmark,
the International Staff Office and the International Club
14.00: Departure from the University main entrance.
14.15 – 15.00: Tour and presentation at the company

15.00: We return to the University.
